When cooperation rhymes with living well

From February 28 to March 18, 2022

Here is a 3rd edition, where “The Beit Project”, a traveling European and Mediterranean educational project, has dropped off its trunks containing kit cabins, continuing to inspire students, actors and partners of the city of Nice.

The pupils of the city of Nice who participated in this human adventure where the duty of memory and citizenship take on their full meaning, had to cooperate to co-build: their nomadic school (assemble the cabins in kit form); go to discover a district “Notre Dame-Gare Thiers”; in search of historical traces then exchange and give an interpretation of the research object chosen by the students. Here, school learning takes on its full meaning thanks to direct contact with the outside world where the student mobilizes his knowledge and has the opportunity to better understand notions that escaped him.

In addition, in a relaxed, non-judgmental, caring environment outside the school walls, real personalities come to light. It is an opportunity to see all the participants get rid of their “costume” to confront each other, accept the difference, become aware of the richness of an encounter, and the importance of others for co- build a project where everyone contributes on their own scale.

This parenthesis is an enriching human experience, a moment of pleasure allowing you to get out of your cave and overcome fear where believing and knowledge are questioned.

The nugget of the project is the interpretation of the pupils on their reflection where memory and present are intertwined by the production of mini films.
