As part of its new project “The Boat Project with Matanel” , the association The Beit Project is pleased to invite you to the launch of the mobile application The Boat App on Wednesday 7 December at the coworking space Now (19 quai de Rive Neuve, 13007 Marseille) from 6:30 pm.
For all those who can’t be there, a presentation of the project is planned via videoconference the same day, at 6:45 pm.
The Boat Project?
A new Mediterranean project that aims to create more bridges between the cities and inhabitants of its different shores, transforming our common environment, the Mediterranean, into an element of education for living together.
At the heart of the project, we can find the sailing boat, with a crew of 8 young adults from different places of the Mediterranean. Starting from Marseille, it will cross the sea step by step, weaving links from North to South over a period of 6 months. At each stopover, lasting several weeks, the boat will be deployed as a nomadic school to carry out workshops on the boat and at sea, with local schoolchildren.
And the application?
The Boat Project – with the help of independent developers – is offering a free mobile application (available on Apple and Android) that will allow users to follow the boat’s journey and the adventure of the Companions and workshop participants in each of the cities, and even to chat with them!
Teachers will have access to the educational content produced at each stage for using in the classroom.
With the encouragement and support of the Matanel Foundation.
