The Beit Project took part in a seminar on the fight against racism, antisemitism and origin-related discrimination.
The Beit Project was invited by the Directorate General of School Education (DGESCO) to participate in a national seminar held in Paris from February 20th to 22nd, 2024!
The seminar aims to support the implementation of the key measures in the plan to fight against racism, antisemitism and origin-related discrimination (presented on 30 January 2023).
One of the key measures of this plan involves organizing a historical or memorial visit related to racism, antisemitism or anti-gypsyism for each student during their schooling.
As part of the first day, dedicated to this measure, the association was invited to participate and present The Beit Project at the round-table discussion “How far to extend the notion of historical or memorial site ?”
In attendance were a representative from the Museum od Immigration History, an educational service coordinator from the French National Archives, the head of the conservation department at the Seine-Maritime Department, and two academic advisers on remembrance and citizenship.
An opportunity to exchange ideas and create new partnerships to expand The Beit Project to new academic regions!
